Q: Who are Cyprus Lettings?
Cyprus Lettings is the trading name for our UK registered company. We are the market leader specialising exclusively in the holiday rental of villas and apartments in Paphos.

Q: How can I contact you?
We can be contacted on 0871 9903273 from the UK and 0044 871 9903273 Worldwide. Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday but it is best to email us as we will reply 7 days a week

Q: How do I book?
Select a property and call us or complete the online booking form. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and the balance is due 3 months before travel.
If your booking is made within 13 weeks or less from your departure date you will receive notification that the balance is due within 5 days.
The following deposit is due on the total rental of the property:
Accommodation rental cost of £100 to £750 requires £100 deposit
Accommodation rental cost of £751 to £1,250 requires £200 deposit
Accommodation rental cost of £1,251 to £1,750 requires £300 deposit
Accommodation rental cost of £1,751 to £2,500 requires £400 deposit
Accommodation rental cost of £2,501 to £3,500 requires £500 deposit
Accommodation rental cost of £3,500+ requires £800 deposit

Q. What is the policy on breakages?
You will be charged locally for any damage or breakages. An Accidental Damage Waiver of £7.50 per person can be taken out to cover against damages. Full details are in our terms and conditions

Q. Is there a security deposit required?
If the average age of all guests is under 25 we require an additional security deposit of £200 if Accidental Waiver cover is not taken out

 
Q: What is the minimum stay period?
There is no minimum stay period but our minimum charge is 7 days rental.

Q: How do I pay?
Deposit payments must be made by debit or credit card. You can make the balance payment by cash or cheque at any branch of Barclays Bank or by  Bank Transfer, Debit or Credit Card.

Q: Are the rates per person?
No, the rates are per property subject to the maximum occupancy and are in British pounds sterling.

Q: Are there any hidden extras?
No. Unlike some of our competitors, we do not charge extra for air-conditioning and satellite TV.

Q. How are special offers calculated?
Special offers discounts will be deducted from the advertised weekly rental rate. Where the dates of travel may attract two discounts (ie. last minute discount and long stay discount) only one (the highest) discount will be deducted from the rental rate. Special offers do apply if an under occupancy discount has been given.

Q. What is an under occupancy discount
An under occupancy discount is when, for example a 2-bed apartment can be rented on a 1-bed basis at a reduced rental. Under occupancy discount only apply to properties where different pricing is displayed relating to the number of bedrooms rented.

Q: How do I find the property?
We can arrange for a taxi to meet you in arrivals and take you straight to the property. We also send you full directions.

Q: Who do I contact if I have a problem when I am in Cyprus?
There is an information pack at the property which will include important telephone numbers and instructions. We also provide you with an emergency number for when you arrive in Cyprus.

Q. What is the complaints procedure?
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint about the property or its contents whilst on holiday, it must be reported immediately by telephone or email to Cyprus Lettings office (not the Property Manager) and we will contact the owner of the property. We will be happy to investigate the matter and arbitrate. If we feel that your claim is fair we will negotiate a refund accordingly. All refunds are at the discretion of the owner and Cyprus Lettings is not authorised to make any refunds without the owners agreement. Cyprus Lettings will have no liability and will not investigate any complaint submitted after completion of the hire period.

Q: What do I do if my flight details or contact details change after I have booked?
After booking we send you with links so that you can update any changes to your details online.
 

Q: What is the changeover day?
This is flexible depending on each property. Please note that a booking may not be accepted if it results in a potentially unrentable period between bookings.

Q: What are the check in and check out times?
Normally to allow for cleaning you will have to vacate the property by 12 noon on the day of departure. Access to the property is 2pm. The may change slightly depending on each property.
 

Q: What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation of booking must be in writing or by email and be received by Cyprus Lettings within 3 months of the holiday commencement date. If cancellation is prior to this, only the deposit will be forfeited. If cancellation is less than 3 months before the departure date, the full hire cost is to be paid.
 

Q: Do I need travel Insurance?

Q: Do you offer winter lets?
Yes, between November and March. Many properties have big discounts for this period.
 

Q: What are the passport requirements?
Cyprus is now part of the European Union so a full EC passport valid for at least the full period of your stay is Cyprus is required.
 

Q: What is the currency?
From January 2008 the currency in Southern Cyprus is the Euro (pre 2008 it was the Cyprus pound). Most ATM machines accept UK cards and there are many places to exchange cash in the tourist areas.
 

Q: Do mobile phones work in Cyprus?
Most UK mobile phones do work in Cyprus but calling the UK can be expensive. You can purchase a pay as you go Cyprus SIM card which makes calls to the UK very good value.

Q. If a property has "Sky TV" what does this mean?
Where Sky TV is stated in the property details this will be SOME FREE TO AIR CHANNELS ONLY. Not all the free to air Sky channels that are available in the UK can be viewed in Cyprus.
Currently Sky are gradually moving all their channels to a new satellite which is affecting the number of channels available in Cyprus as the new satellite is too far away to be received in Cyprus (at present this is the case for BBC channels). There is no timescale to when this may improve or get worse and this is something that both Cyprus Lettings and the owners have no control of. Channels currently available are ITV, Channel 4, BBC Sport Interactive, CBBC Interactive, Movies4Men, At the Races, Sky News, Sky2. Please not that some properties may not be able to pick up all of the available channels.

Q. If a property has "Nilesat TV" what does this mean?
Where Nilesat TV is stated in the property details the following channels (subject to change) will be available - Top Movies TV, Fox Movies, MBC 1 to 4, MBC Action, MBC Drama, MBC Max, Bloomberg, BBC World, Euronews, National Geographical Wild HD, National Geographical Adventure HD, Fox HD, Fox Movies HD , Dubai One Movies, City 7 TV, Spacetoons (cartoons), Dubai Racing Channel (showing some C4 racing). Please not that some properties may not be able to pick up all of the available channels.

Q. If a property is not advertising satellite TV what does this mean?

If a property does not have satellite TV the television is only for use with DVDs.

Q. Can I bring my Sky viewing card from home?
No as your subscription viewing card is married to your digibox at home so it will not work in Cyprus.

Q. Does the property have broadband?
Very few rental properties have broadband internet and if it applies it will be listed as a feature in the property details.
If the property that you have booked does not have internet access you may be able to pick up the  Leap Wireless network. Leap Wireless has grown into a major provider of Wireless internet and internet based advertising in the Paphos area. Using advanced technologies and routing protocols developed in house Leap Wireless provides a cheap reliable service to tourists and residents of Paphos alike.
 

Q: How often is the property cleaned?
The property will be cleaned prior to arrival and not cleaned again until departure.

 

Q: How often is linen changed?
Linen and towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person) will be changed once a week for all bookings of 2 weeks or more unless otherwise stated. If linen and towels are not changed once a week there will be a spare set left for you at the property. For bookings of 3 weeks or more where a LONG STAY DISCOUNT has been given a spare set will be left for the guests to do there own linen change

Q: Are towels provided?
Yes, but not beach towels (unless stated). These will be changed once a week unless otherwise stated. If towels are not changed once a week there will be a spare set at the property.

Q: Are cots and high chairs provided?
Unless stated in the property details these are not provided but may be hired for an additional charge. Click Here for full details

Q: What is the electricity voltage?
The voltage is the same as in the UK with 3-pin plug sockets.
